Easter sessions started today! Here is a peek into what is going on.

New Website

After what seems like forever and a day, the new website has finally been launched! It has been completely redesigned and every photo has been updated! Some of you may have noticed already.

With the new layout, we were able to add additional pages for pricing, session information and even an "about the artist" section. The plan is to continue adding information that will help you make the best choices for your own portrait art.

I hope the new design will give you a better understanding of the studio's style, what to expect from us, and ideas for your child or family's portrait session.

Easter sessions are next weekend! There are still a few Saturday appointments left and we are carrying over to Monday to help those who are out of town for Spring break. Minimum print purchase is only $45.

It's sample sale time! And this time, I really am taking prints down and tossing them out! I have the hardest time tossing them into the dumpster but I know it has to be done. My studio cannot hold everything I wish I could keep!

Baby Ava

Baby Ava has arrived! She is absolutely precious and Mom and Dad are head over heels excited to finally be holding her in their arms!

Baby Layla

I had the pleasure of meeting Layla and her family not long ago. She is such a precious baby and I really enjoyed getting to work with her. She has an awesome big sister who is so good with her! I think big sis is pretty proud of that baby!

Easter Sessions - March 26-27

With Valentine's Day behind us (barely) it's time to start planning for Easter! With the cold weather, it's hard to think about those cute little sleeveless dresses, sandals, and the pretty pastel colors. Well, regardless of how chilly it is today, it's still time to begin making plans!

I officially have all the new and wonderful props for this year's set. I am so very excited since it won't look like anything we've done before! The backdrop is my favorite white with subtle gray tones. It will be complimented with lavendar, pale yellow and ivory wildflowers. There will be plenty of other things like a bunny, angel statue, and different chairs to customize your child's portrait.

Mark your calendar for March 26-27. This is the weekend we'll be doing our quick pic sessions! Each session will take about 30 minutes. Reservation fee is only $100 which includes $50 session fee and a print credit.

You must have an appointment so call 454-9154.

Sessions scheduled before the end of February will receive an additional 4x5 print, just for being on the ball!

Mother and Daughter

I am such a sap for family and preserving the memories while we can! This precious lady just celebrated her 80th birthday and her daughter (Donna) didn't have a good portrait of the two of them. So, Donna's family bought her a gift certificate to take care of that! I really enjoyed meeting her mother and getting to know her. She is a wonderful asset to our community and I know she means a whole lot to a lot of people.

Baby bump

Have I mentioned that I LOVE maternity sessions! There's just something so beautiful about it.

Jamee came in to see me at about 34 weeks of pregnancy. She is such a sweetheart and let me play!

I think Baby Addison is going to look back at these one day and see her wonderful momma and daddy and I think she'll see how proud they are of her, just for existing.

Shots for a professional website

This lovely lady called me needing some professional pictures for her website. She is in the ministry and has a site to bring people together for Bible study, etc. We had a lot of fun to say the least!

Baby Calley

Baby Calley has joined the Watch Me Grow program and this was her first session. She did so good! If you follow the blog, you saw her momma's maternity session a few months back. I am thrilled to be working with their family to create these beautiful time capsules for them to show off now and for the kids to enjoy when they are grown.

Little Miss

This Little Miss was so wonderful to work with. She had not been professionally photographed yet so Grandma made her an appointment to come see me! I just love her outfit and those CURLS! Her daddy is going to need a big stick when she gets a little older (to keep the boys away!)

Headed Out

The studio will be closed Feb 8-12 for training.

I am headed to Hot Springs for Delta School... this is a very exciting week for photographers! Delta School is a week of photography bootcamp, so I say! They bring in renowned photographers from all around the country and we have the wonderful opportunity to be their students. This year I will sit under the instruction of Hanson Fong and Gary Meek.

Hanson Fong of San Francisco, California, is globally recognized as one of the premier wedding portrait photographers in the industry today and he has over 30 years practicing the Art of Photography.

Gary Meek teaches a Certified Professional Photographer prep class. His class description includes, "Our goal is not to teach you what to do but to teach you how to do, and give you the working knowledge of photography to let you go back to your studios and become a more accomplished photographer. This week long class is most likely the most intense photographic learning experience that you will ever encounter".


So if you see me the weeks following Delta School, my head may be spinning with new ideas!!!! I will be playing catch up starting Feb. 15 so please be patient as I work to return e-mails and calls.
